April 9, New Delhi: The fragile truce between Iran and the United States entered its second day on Thursday, with U.S. President Donald Trump asserting that all U.S. military forces would remain in and around Iran until the agreement is fully complied with.
In a social media post, Trump said, "All U.S. Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied."
He added that if the deal is violated, "the 'Shooting' Starts,' bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before." Trump reaffirmed that no nuclear weapons would be allowed and that the Strait of Hormuz would remain open and safe.
