
Dubai, April 3 – Five Indian nationals were injured in Abu Dhabi on Friday due to debris from intercepted missiles, according to local media reports.
Authorities confirmed that the incident resulted in minor to moderate injuries for six individuals of Nepali nationality and five individuals of Indian nationality, as reported by the UAE's official news agency, WAM.
One Nepali national also sustained a severe injury, bringing the total number of injured to 12, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office.
On Friday, the UAE air defenses engaged 18 ballistic missiles, 4 cruise missiles, and 47 UAVs launched from Iran, according to the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence.
Since the start of the Iranian attacks, the UAE air defenses have engaged 475 ballistic missiles, 23 cruise missiles, and 2,085 UAVs.
The attacks resulted in the deaths of two members of the armed forces while performing their national duty. A Moroccan civilian contracted by the Armed Forces was also killed in the attacks, it added.
Nine individuals of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, and Indian nationalities have also been killed in the attacks, it said.
