March 12, New Delhi — The front pages of British newspapers on Thursday featured headlines about the government's release of documents concerning the appointment of Peter Mandelson as Britain's ambassador to Washington.
Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, was warned of the potential risks associated with appointing Mandelson as the U.S. ambassador, according to documents released on Wednesday.
Over 100 pages of documents revealed concerns about the "reputational risks" associated with appointing Mandelson due to his friendship with Epstein, as well as his previous resignations from government and his support for closer ties with China.
Further documents will be released at a later date.
