March 01, New Delhi – Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw addressed the Gujarat SemiConnect Conference 2026 in Gandhinagar, calling it a historic milestone for India's journey in the semiconductor industry.
The Cabinet Minister highlighted that the Prime Minister inaugurated the country's first semiconductor plant, fulfilling the promise to bring chip manufacturing to India. Vaishnaw added that more semiconductor plants are set to begin production soon.
