United Airlines Adjusts Schedule to Address Fuel Surge.webp

March 21, New Delhi – United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby announced that the airline will cancel approximately 5% of its planned flights in the short term due to rising jet fuel prices amid the West Asia conflict.

The airline plans to restore its full schedule this fall. It will reduce its capacity by about three percentage points during off-peak periods in the second and third quarters.

United Airlines has also suspended services to Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel and Dubai International Airport in the UAE, impacting nearly one percentage point of its capacity.

Furthermore, the airline will also reduce its capacity by another percentage point to Chicago International Airport in line with the Federal Aviation Administration's plan to reduce flights this summer.
