He said that empowered youth shape the future, and he believes that intellectual depth, creative strength, and innovative youth leadership are essential for national progress. The LG was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of "Goonj 2026," a unique Youth Festival organized by the University of Jammu. The two-day event will provide a platform for young people from various disciplines to create a shared future. The festival will educate the mind, energize the body, and inspire innovation. The LG said that when young people ignite the flame of courage within themselves and act with unwavering belief, new pathways open up for society and the nation. He encouraged students to embrace innovation, conduct fresh research, and experiment boldly, unlocking opportunities for national development. The LG observed that the purpose of education is not simply the acquisition of knowledge, but the creation of enlightened citizens who are aware of their responsibilities. The LG said that the pace at which the world is changing is almost beyond comprehension, and the technological explosion has quietly transformed both educational institutions and industries. He directed faculty members to make their higher education campuses centers for the creation of new ideas. On the occasion, the LG also launched the podcast "JU Vaachan," an initiative of the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Jammu University.
