UNSC Debate: India Calls for Safeguarding Afghanistan's Economy.webp

March 10, New Delhi – India’s UN Ambassador P. Harish addressed the United Nations Security Council on Afghanistan.

He strongly criticized what he termed "trade and transit terrorism," making a veiled reference to Pakistan, and urged the international community to protect the economic rights of landlocked Afghanistan.

The ambassador emphasized that unimpeded trade and transit are essential for Afghanistan's economic recovery, warning that obstructing these channels constitutes economic coercion against a vulnerable, landlocked developing country.
