
Ayodhya (UP), March 12 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the progress of construction work at the Ram Temple during his one-day visit to the temple town on Thursday.
He first visited the Hanumangarhi Temple, where he performed rituals and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people of the state, according to an official statement.
Adityanath then proceeded to the Ram Temple. During the visit, he also assessed the ongoing construction work within the temple premises and was briefed by officials of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust about the current status of the project and upcoming plans.
The chief minister also interacted with seers at Hanumangarhi and inquired about their well-being. He met Mahant Premdas Maharaj and others during the visit.
Adityanath was received at the Ram Katha Park helipad by public representatives and officials, including state Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and Ram temple trust general secretary Champat Rai.
The chief minister's visit is significant as it precedes President Droupadi Murmu's proposed visit to the temple town on March 19.
During her visit, the President is expected to spend approximately three hours at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex and attend a programme to honour workers and employees who contributed to the construction of the temple.
