UP Man Arrested Over Alleged 'Anti-National' Social Media Post.webp

Muzaffarnagar (UP), March 23 Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested a man on Monday for allegedly posting "anti-national" content related to Operation Sindoor on social media, police said.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Aditya Bansal said the accused, identified as Shanu Malik, is a native of Sambhalheda village in the Mirapur area.

The action comes after a video posted on Instagram was found to contain objectionable and "anti-national" material, the officer said, adding that the police have seized his mobile phone and further investigation is underway.

He has been booked under Section 152 (Act endangering the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, Bansal said.
