
Itanagar, March 10 Two Army personnel, including a Naib Subedar, were killed when their vehicle fell into a ditch in the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, a defence official said on Tuesday.
According to a delayed report from the army, the accident occurred on March 7 near the Reddi village, close to the India-China border, while the vehicle was travelling from Gelemo to Taksing for operational duties under Operation Snow Leopard.
The deceased were identified as Naib Subedar Kulwant Singh of 908 Field Regiment under 56 Artillery Brigade and Naik Pradeep Kumar Sharma of 18 Sikh Regiment from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, the official said.
Driver Amarjeet Gujjar of 908 Field Regiment sustained minor injuries and is being treated at the Field Hospital in Borarupak, where he is reported to be in stable condition, the official added.
