Banda (UP), April 3 Two 13-year-old boys and a woman were killed in two separate incidents of lightning strikes in the Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday, while two other boys sustained critical injuries, police said.
The first incident occurred in Rajauli Purwa, under the Bharatkoop police station area, where Vikas (13), Karan (13), Neeraj (10), and Sumit (12) were struck by lightning while tending to goats.
They were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced Vikas and Karan dead, while Neeraj and Sumit were being treated for critical burn injuries, police said.
In the second incident, Rajpatiya (50) was killed by lightning in Kui Kala village, within the Raipura police station limits.
