Sambhal (UP), March 28 A nurse working at a hospital in the Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh has accused the hospital's administrator, a doctor, of rape. Following this, the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation, an official said.
Kotwali police station SHO Gajendra Singh stated on Saturday that the case was registered based on a written complaint submitted by the nurse. The formal complaint was lodged on March 20 against Dr. Zaid and his father, Mohammad Aslam.
In her complaint, the nurse alleged that she had been working at a private hospital located in the Chaudhary Sarai locality since December 2022. She also mentioned that she resides in a room on the upper floor of the hospital building.
According to the nurse, Dr. Zaid had been repeatedly raping her since 2022 and threatened her with severe consequences if she spoke out about the abuse.
She further alleged that on February 10, 2025, Dr. Zaid summoned her to the hospital, engaged in sexual intercourse with her, and forced her to take contraceptive pills. Consequently, she began to experience health issues and suffered from severe mental distress.
Later, she confided in her mother about the entire ordeal. Her mother accompanied her to the hospital, but Dr. Zaid and his father, Mohammad Aslam, verbally abused both the complainant and her mother and forcibly expelled them from the premises, the nurse alleged.
