Chennai, February 28 – Vipin Das, one of the producers of the second installment of the superhit franchise 'Vaazha', has now introduced the film's director, Savin SA, to his followers on social media, and has said that the director, who had perfectly conceived and visualized the energy, mood, and emotion of the franchise, deserves everything that is coming his way.
On his Instagram page, producer Vipin Das wrote, "I am proud to introduce Savin SA as the director of Vaazha II. He has been with me for many years and has been a constant support and inspiration to my direction team. He perfectly conceived and visualized the energy, mood, and emotion of our franchise. We are very happy and proud of you. Happy birthday, Savin SA!"
It may be recalled that the makers of the film had already announced that it would be released worldwide on April 2 this year.
The makers had announced in November last year that the shooting for the eagerly awaited film, featuring Hashir, Alan, Ajin, and Vijayan among others, had been completed.
In a post on his Instagram page, producer Vipin Das had said, "Finally, after 115 days… 'Vaazha II - Biopic of a Billion Bros!' is complete. As before, we are introducing new talents and technicians along with the seasoned actors you love to bring you the best. See you in theaters soon!"
For those who are unaware, the first part of the franchise, 'Vaazha', which was directed by Anand Menen and featured Jagadheesh, Kottayam Nazeer, Azees Nedumangad, Noby Marcose, Siju Sunny, Amith Mohan Rajeswari, Jomon Jyothir, Anuraj O.B, Saafboi, Anshid Anu, and Sruthi Manikandan, among others, had been a huge success.
The simple, feel-good film, with the tagline 'The biopic of a billion boys', resonated with audiences and emerged as a major box office hit.
Its success led the makers of the film to create another installment, turning the film into a franchise.
Producer Vipin Das, at the time of announcing the second part of 'Vaazha', had said, "Thank you all for the overwhelming support for 'Vaazha'. Your response has truly inspired me to continue working with fresh talents. We are thrilled to announce the launch of 'Vaazha II - Biopic of a Billion Bros!'. I am proud to present our debut director, Savin SA, and cinematographer, Akhil Lailasuran, who have been by my side throughout my career. 'Vaazha II' features an incredible cast, including Hashir, Alan, Ajin, Vinayak, and many more."
He then went on to list the core team of the second part. Naming himself as the writer of the film and Savin as the director, Vipin Das introduced Harris Desom, P.B Anish, Adarsh Narayan, and Icon Cinemas as the co-producers of the film.
For those who are unaware, 'Vaazha 2' was shot in various locations, including Dubai and Georgia. Interestingly, the unit had only recently announced that they had wrapped up the schedule in the UAE. The total number of shooting days was 106.
