New Delhi, February 17 The next phase of the India AI Mission will bring a range of Artificial Intelligence solutions for MSMEs and users in the healthcare and education sectors, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Tuesday, comparing it to the "UPI of AI".

The flagship India AI Mission is building the country's own Artificial Intelligence ecosystem, from computing to talent and real-world use cases, and Vaishnaw recently promised a "much larger-scale" second edition of the India AI Mission, which he said is in development.

On Tuesday, the minister said that the next phase of the India AI Mission will offer a lot to the country's MSMEs.

"We will be creating a range of solutions that are trusted and have been tested for security and other parameters. Then, we will present those solutions, just like UPI, where the range of solutions will be available to the world for use and further development," he said, calling it "AI's UPI".

The range of solutions will include a series of options that MSMEs can use to enhance productivity and efficiency.

The minister said that doctors in rural areas will be able to use these AI solutions to provide better healthcare services, while teachers will be able to use them to improve the quality of education.

"We will provide this through the India AI Mission 2.0, using a UPI-type platform," Vaishnaw said.
