Mumbai, March 19 Prime Video announced on Thursday India’s first Hindi-language streaming superhero series, “Vansh – The Kalyug Warriors,” in collaboration with The Viral Fever (TVF).

The series centers around a college student who discovers he possesses the pure lineage of an immortal being, sparking a secret conflict between ancient immortals and a dying tycoon with a dark past, who is seeking the secret of immortality.

The series is written by Alok Sharma and Arunabh Kumar, with visual design by Saumin Suresh Patel.

Kumar, the founder of content studio TVF, has backed popular series such as “Aspirants,” “Kota Factory,” and “Panchayat.”

He said the inspiration for the superhero series came from his conversations with his nephew and niece, who were only consuming international content.

“I was both inspired and saddened. We are working on a couple of comic books with my partners at Prime Video. So, thank you to them, and to the entire Indian comic book community. I hope that we can at least attempt to create an Indian version of ‘Power of Rings,'” Kumar said.

“So, I hope that two years from now, people in Ohio will be watching and saying that we are only watching shows that are made in India and by Prime Video,” Kumar added.

The series is produced by TVF Production in association with Indusverse Comic.
