The Kumar Bhaskar Varma Bridge, connecting Guwahati and North Guwahati, will open for vehicular traffic on March 8. This was announced by Kamrup District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra.
On Saturday, the District Commissioners of Kamrup and Kamrup Metropolitan districts jointly inspected the bridge. However, officials clarified that commercial vehicles will not be allowed to use the bridge at present.
