March 25th, Aizawl: The celebratory event began with a devotional service led by Rev. Dr. H. Vanlalruata. As part of the program, a short documentary about the inspiring life and distinguished career of Hav. Lalbiakthanga was shown to the attendees. Addressing the gathering, Brigadier Puspendar Sorayan extended his heartfelt birthday greetings to the veteran. He stated that having the opportunity to speak at such a significant event was a remarkable privilege. Reflecting on Hav. Lalbiakthanga's early days of joining the Assam Rifles, the Brigadier expressed his immense joy at being able to honor his "role model" on this milestone birthday.
Highlighting the veteran's monumental contributions to the nation, Brig. Sorayan urged the younger generation to emulate his exemplary life. He concluded his speech by wishing Hav. Lalbiakthanga continued good health and God's abundant blessings.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Hav. Lalbiakthanga's grandson, Kima, delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude. He thanked the Assam Rifles for taking the time out of their busy and demanding schedules to organize such a special celebration.
