Hyderabad, April 4 – The makers of the highly anticipated period film, "Ranabaali," starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, have announced that the film's crucial schedule in Rayalaseema has been completed.

Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind the film, made the announcement on its X timeline. They also released a video showing the actors being warmly welcomed in the region.

Mythri Movie Makers wrote, "'MAA SEEMA RAAYALASEEMA' Rayalaseema showered all its love for the #Ranabaali couple. The team completed a key schedule in the region. #Ranabaali Grand release worldwide on September 11th."

In the video clip released, Vijay Deverakonda is seen addressing a group of fans. He says, "It feels like coming back to my own village. When I was here for the shoot, Anantapur feels like my second hometown. I always have a seema feeling inside me."

For those unfamiliar, Vijay Deverakonda plays the role of Ranabaali, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays his wife, Jayamma, in the film. Arnold Vosloo, best known for his role in "The Mummy," plays the antagonist, Sir Theodore Hector.

"Ranabaali" is being produced on a grand scale by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, with T-Series presenting the film. The movie is set against a British-era backdrop and is being made as a period action drama. Set in the 19th century, the film is based on real historical events that took place between 1854 and 1878, and is being mounted as a massive pan-India project.

Sources claim that "Ranabaali" is inspired by real incidents from the 1850s that never found their way into mainstream history books. They say that it will be based on real incidents in the time period of 1850-1900, and that the film will showcase incidents that the British misrepresented in history.

Sources claim that "Ranabaali" will not be a biopic, nor a textbook retelling, but rather a cinematic reconstruction of an era built from multiple real accounts, oral histories, and suppressed records.

After "Geetha Govindam" and "Dear Comrade," "Ranabaali" will be the third film in which Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda will be seen together as a pair.
