April 10, New Delhi – India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is in Washington DC for discussions on India-US bilateral relations. US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor welcomed Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to the White House.

Vikram Misri held a productive meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, focusing on deepening the bilateral relationship, with emphasis on trade, critical minerals, defense cooperation, and the Quad. Rubio expressed keen interest in visiting India next month.

India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met FBI Director Kash Patel in Washington DC on Friday. The two leaders held a fruitful discussion on strengthening India-US cooperation to counter terrorism, organized crime, and narcotics trafficking.

Vikram Misri held wide-ranging talks with US Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby at the Pentagon. Discussions focused on sustaining momentum in India-US defense exchanges and covered ongoing developments in the Indo-Pacific region and West Asia. This meeting followed their recent interaction in New Delhi during the Defence Policy Group.

Vikram Misri engaged with leading strategic thought leaders in Washington DC on the current state and future trajectory of India-US bilateral ties. Discussions also covered ongoing geopolitical developments and their implications for global energy, food, and economic security.

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker met with Vikram Misri in Washington. They explored closer cooperation on security, defense, and economic issues. Discussions focused on practical steps to enhance safety and prosperity for both Americans and Indians, including through the Quad framework.

The Foreign Secretary also held a productive meeting with US Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg in Washington DC. Both sides agreed to advance cooperation under Pax Silica and broader economic-technology ties, with special focus on Artificial Intelligence and critical minerals.
