April 04, New Delhi – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the foundation stone of the state-of-the-art Large Cavitation Tunnel at the Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL) in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the facility, Singh stated that it will enable India to design, develop, and test naval equipment, systems, and sub-systems using entirely indigenous resources.
He emphasized that the initiative strengthens India's position as a formidable naval power while advancing the nation's self-reliance in defence technology.
Addressing the scientists and personnel at NSTL, Singh urged them to continue their dedicated work towards nation-building, enhancing India's security infrastructure, and driving technological innovation in defence.
