Ajanta Neog presents Vote-on-Account budget
In Assam, during the Vote-on-Account Budget session of the Fifteenth Assam Legislative Assembly, State Finance Minister Ajanta Neog presented a ₹62,294.78 crore Vote on Account budget for the first four months of the financial year 2026-27. The finance minister stated that the Vote-on-Account was presented to ensure the smooth functioning of government programmes until the full budget is tabled.
While presenting the Vote-on-Account, the Finance Minister also highlighted Assam’s economic growth and the increase in per capita income in the state.
