Kolkata, April 2 The Election Commission has processed nearly 49.63 lakh voter records so far as part of the ongoing Systematic Area Verification (SAV) of electoral rolls, officials said on Thursday.
The seventh supplementary list was released on Wednesday evening, although the exact number of names deleted remains unknown.
This update came on the same day that the Supreme Court heard matters related to the SAV process.
Officials stated that a significant portion of the exercise has already been completed.
