Mathura, March 23 Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat will inaugurate the Jeevan Deep Ashram in Vrindavan on Tuesday, an official of the ashram said.
Mahamandaleshwar Yatindranand Giri, the head of the ashram, said he invited Bhagwat to inaugurate the facility.
"I was associated with the RSS. It is my family. Since he (Mohan Bhagwat) is the head of the family, I requested him to inaugurate the ashram, and he accepted," he said.
Seers from Vrindavan and other places are expected to attend the event, he added, noting that several political leaders are also likely to be present.
Mathura District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar visited the ashram on Monday to review security arrangements, officials said.
