Chennai, March 10 TVS Supply Chain Solutions Ltd has set up a warehousing facility near here to assist Caterpillar India Pvt Ltd in procuring parts from multiple countries and supporting its manufacturing operations, a top official said on Tuesday.
The facility, spread across 40,000 sq ft, is located in the Free Trade and Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) in Mannur village, about 30 km from the city on the Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor.
With approximately 4,000 pallet positions, the modern facility will enable Caterpillar to optimize lead times, reduce landed costs, and quickly respond to global demand and supply needs.
In a company statement here, TVS Supply Chain Solutions Managing Director Ravi Viswanathan said, "Our tailored solution for Caterpillar strengthens supply chain resilience and global trade volatility. By combining the Free Trade Warehousing Zone model with our end-to-end warehousing capabilities, we enable faster and more efficient global supply chain movements, helping Caterpillar withstand trade disruptions."

TVS Supply Chain Solutions also manages Caterpillar's external warehouse operations in Hosur, as well as the In-Plant Warehousing, deploying dedicated and trained personnel to support the company's manufacturing operations, the statement added.
