The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for thunderstorms and hailstorms over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada until tomorrow. It has forecast thunderstorms and lightning over West Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Telangana, and the Northeastern states today. Similar conditions are expected to prevail over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal for the next two to three days. Meanwhile, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal may experience hot and humid weather until tomorrow.
