
Chandigarh, March 30 The daytime temperatures in Haryana and Punjab remained close to normal on Monday, a day after parts of the two states experienced rainfall.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a maximum temperature of 31.9 degrees Celsius, according to the local Meteorological Department (MeT).
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 33.3 degrees Celsius, Narnaul 32 degrees, Rohtak 33.1 degrees, Gurugram 33.7 degrees, and Hisar 31.1 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 29.9 degrees Celsius.
Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 32.4 degrees and 32.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Gurdaspur recorded a high of 29.5 degrees Celsius, while Ferozepur's maximum settled at 29.9 degrees Celsius.
