Weather Update: Gusty Winds and Rain in Rajasthan.webp

Jaipur, March 13 Parts of Rajasthan are likely to experience gusty winds and light rain starting Saturday due to a change in weather conditions, the Met department said on Friday.

"A new western disturbance has become active in the region, which may lead to partly cloudy skies over the next one to two days and a drop of 2.3 degrees Celsius in temperature," the department said.

Light thunderstorms, rain, or drizzle are likely at isolated locations in the districts of Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Sri Ganganagar, and Hanumangarh, as well as nearby areas, on March 14 and 15.

Another western disturbance is likely to become active between March 19 and 21, which may also bring thunderstorms and light rain to a few locations.

Meanwhile, Barmer was recorded as the hottest place in the desert state, with a daytime temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius.

Pali recorded a maximum of 38.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Jodhpur at 38.1 degrees Celsius, Kota and Chittorgarh at 37.6 degrees Celsius each.

The state capital, Jaipur, recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius, according to a Met report.
