
Shimla, March 9 The Shimla Met Office issued a warning on Tuesday about a heat wave, potentially escalating to severe heat wave conditions, in the Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, and Solan districts. It also predicted rainfall across the state until March 15.
The state experienced dry weather over the past 24 hours since Sunday evening, and the Met Office reported a severe heat wave in Sundernagar, Dharamshala, Solan, and Bhuntar on Monday.
Una recorded the highest temperature, reaching 35 degrees Celsius, while Kukumseri experienced the lowest temperature at 2.2 degrees Celsius.
A yellow alert was issued for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds in seven districts – Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Kinnaur, and Lahaul and Spiti – on March 11-12.
There was no significant change in the minimum and maximum temperatures.
