Jaipur, March 10 Amid rising temperatures, the weather office has forecast heatwave conditions in isolated areas of south-western Rajasthan on Wednesday.
Barmer recorded the highest temperature in the state on Tuesday, with a maximum of 40.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Pilani in Jhunjhunu, where the daytime temperature reached 39.3 degrees Celsius.
The districts of Chittorgarh, Churu, Bikaner, and Sikar recorded maximum temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius, 38.7 degrees Celsius, 38.2 degrees Celsius, and 37.8 degrees Celsius, respectively. According to the weather department, the daytime temperature in Jaipur was 37.5 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures are likely to decrease slightly from March 12 onwards, with a western disturbance expected to trigger light rainfall in isolated areas of the state on March 14-15, it added.
