Ranchi, March 27 Light to moderate rain is expected in most parts of Jharkhand over the next two days, an IMD official said on Friday.
The weather office has also issued a 'yellow' alert (be updated) for thunderstorms on Saturday.
The IMD said that light to moderate rain, accompanied by gusty winds of 40-50 kmph, thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms, is likely to occur in most parts of the state on Saturday, except in the districts of Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, and Latehar.
Light rain is expected in eight northeastern districts of the state on Sunday, it said.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy across the state, and except for the northwestern parts, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas," said Abhishek Anand, Deputy Director of the Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
"The maximum temperature is likely to increase by up to 2 degree Celsius in the next 24 hours," he added.
