
Chandigarh, March 29 Rain affected parts of Punjab and Haryana on Sunday, with daytime temperatures dropping at many locations, according to the meteorological department.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, received light rain, leading to a drop in temperature here.
Ambala, Panchkula, and Yamunanagar in Haryana, as well as Mohali, Patiala, Phagwara, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, and Ludhiana in Punjab, were among the other locations that experienced rain.
However, this recent spell of rain has caused concern among farmers in the region, who fear that if the showers are accompanied by strong winds, it could damage the standing wheat crop.
