
March 25, New Delhi – The India Meteorological Department on Wednesday forecast unsettled weather conditions across several parts of the country over the coming days.
The Met Department said that scattered to fairly widespread rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, is expected across Northeast India throughout the week.
Thunderstorms and lightning may continue over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura until March 27.
The IMD also said that a series of active western disturbances will also influence weather conditions in Northwest India during the week.
Light to moderate rainfall or snowfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, is likely in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on multiple days this week.
Thunderstorms are also expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan on March 26 and again around March 29.
