Weather Update: Rains, Heat, and Safety Alerts.webp

Amaravati, March 29 APSDMA on Sunday forecast "light to moderate rains" accompanied by thunderstorms in Rayalaseema, even as heat wave conditions are expected to continue in several mandals across the state over the next two days.

The weather system, triggered by a surface circulation over Rayalaseema and adjoining areas, is expected to provide temporary relief in some regions while extreme heat persists in others.

"Light to moderate rains with thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Rayalaseema districts over the next two days, while heat wave conditions are expected in several mandals on Monday and Tuesday," Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority Managing Director Prakhar Jain said in a press release.

He added that rainfall may cause a slight dip in temperatures over the next 48 hours and urged residents to remain alert to sudden weather changes.

Jain also cautioned people to avoid staying under trees, in open fields, or exposed areas during thunderstorms and rainfall due to safety risks.
