
Shimla, March 14 The meteorological department here on Saturday issued an orange warning for thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in the districts of Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla in Himachal Pradesh for Sunday, while predicting rain across the state until March 18.
It also issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds with wind speeds between 40-50 km per hour in the districts of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla on Monday and Wednesday.
The weather has been dry for the past 24 hours since Friday evening, with Tabo being the coldest at night, recording a low of 0.2 degrees Celsius, while Una was the hottest during the day, reaching a high of 33.6 degrees Celsius, it said.
A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from the night of March 17, it said.
