West Asia Conflict Intensifies: Strikes Target Iran's Infrastructure.webp

April 7, New Delhi – Multiple strikes targeted Iran's civilian and critical infrastructure as the US deadline for Tehran to reach a deal expired. The US military conducted attacks on military targets on Kharg Island, Iran's main oil export terminal, without affecting oil infrastructure. Strikes also hit rail and road bridges, Khorramabad Airport, a petrochemical plant, and power transmission lines.

Deputy Governor Morteza Heydari said a key bridge near Qom, south of Tehran, was hit by American and Israeli projectiles, prompting the closure of a major northern highway. Two people were killed in an attack on a rail bridge in central Iran.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards warned the US and its allies that crossing Tehran's "red lines" could disrupt regional oil and gas supplies for years, adding that their restraint had ended.

President Donald Trump reiterated his warning on Truth Social, stating that "the entire civilization will die tonight" if a deal is not reached.

Meanwhile, missiles struck Sharif University, damaging the campus, though officials affirmed Iran's science and civilization would endure. Eyewitness video also showed a fire at a petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia's Jubail, with Iran's Revolutionary Guards claiming responsibility.

The escalating attacks across Iran signal a sharp intensification of the conflict, raising fears of a broader regional war as the situation remains highly volatile.
