Mumbai, March 25 – Actor-director Boman Irani has donned the role of a diplomat to resolve the ongoing conflict in West Asia. On Wednesday, the actor posted a video of himself speaking to the camera on his Instagram account. Citing his Irani background, the actor expressed his willingness to speak to US President Donald Trump regarding the conflict.
In the video, he jokingly said, “As you may know, there’s a buzz that Mr. Donald Trump wants to talk to the Irani family, and three people have been invited to participate: Smriti Irani, Aruna Irani, and myself”.
He further added, “So, I am ready. We can do anything for peace. My only concern is that I won't go to Washington. Let their delegation come here to the Dadar Parsi Colony. We will treat them as we please, we will feed them dhansak and custard. We will provide a gas cylinder. I think this will make things very smooth for everyone”.
Meanwhile, the conflict in West Asia is about to enter its 26th day, with the USA and Israel jointly attacking Iran. Iran, on its part, has been attacking US military bases in the Middle East, along with devastating bombings in Tel Aviv.
Earlier, Trump had spoken about a 5-day ceasefire in the conflict, stating that he had negotiated peace with Iranian leaders. Soon after Trump’s statement, Iran said that he was bluffing and was trying to create a one-sided peace deal to manipulate financial markets related to oil. Following this, talks between Iran and the USA are reportedly underway, while bombings continue over critical infrastructure in Iran and Israel.
