Kolkata, March 29 West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said delays in disbursing funds under the Banglar Yuva Sathi scheme were due to duplicate applications and assured that the issue would be resolved soon.
"Those who have applied but have not received the money, their applications have been duplicated. They will be contacted later to rectify the issue. Everyone will receive this money," Banerjee said while addressing a rally in Purulia.
The state government had announced the Yuva Sathi scheme in its interim budget. Although cash transfers were scheduled to begin on April 1, payments started from March 7. Following this, multiple complaints emerged from applicants who had not received the funds.
Some reported receiving SMS notifications of the deposit, but the money did not reflect in their accounts, while others received failure messages.
Banerjee's assurance aims to resolve confusion among beneficiaries, emphasizing that the duplication issue is being addressed and all eligible youths will receive the promised financial aid.
