Today, the BJP accused the West Bengal government, led by the Trinamool Congress, of promoting lawlessness in the state. Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia alleged that yesterday, seven judicial officers who were performing their duties in the SIR process in the Malda district were taken hostage by TMC party workers. He stated that every Indian is watching, concerned, and anguished by the current ruling government in the state. Citing the Supreme Court order, Mr. Bhatia accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of undermining the authority and power of the apex court.
