
Kolkata, March 19 West Bengal Governor RN Ravi held a private meeting with newly appointed Chief Secretary Dushyant Nariyala, Home Secretary Sanghamitra Ghosh, and senior police officers at Lok Bhavan, a source revealed.
The meeting, which lasted approximately 30 minutes, also included DGP Siddh Nath Gupta, ADG (Law and Order) Ajey Mukund Ranade, and Kolkata Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Nand.
The source described it as "merely a courtesy meeting," adding that it began around noon and concluded in 30 minutes.
Following the announcement of the election dates for the West Bengal elections, the Election Commission transferred several senior administrative and police officers in the state.
Polling for the 294-member Assembly will take place in two phases on April 23 and 29, with counting scheduled for May 4.
