In Kolkata, March 21 The Left Front, led by the CPI(M), is focusing on job creation as its main campaign strategy in the upcoming West Bengal state assembly elections to attract young voters.

CPI(M) central committee member Samik Lahiri stated that the party is relying on a large number of young candidates fielded by it in these elections, as well as young volunteers, to gain the support of the younger generation, which is a crucial factor for the Left, as it experienced a significant decline in support from this group in recent state elections.

"Job creation is our main focus," he said.

"There are no jobs in the state; nearly 1.25 crore people, from unskilled to highly skilled, have left the state due to the lack of employment," the CPI(M) leader told
