Wildlife Officials Examine Cause of Death for Thane Leopard
Thane, February 26 A leopard was found dead with its claws removed in the Washala forest range of the Shahapur taluka, officials said on Thursday.
The carcass was found in a dry stream within the limits of the Susarwadi village on Tuesday, according to a veterinary officer.
The animal apparently died elsewhere and was dumped in the stream, he said.
The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the final autopsy report, the official said.
