Nagpur, March 11 A 29-year-old woman was killed and a teenage girl was seriously injured when they were attacked by a Gaur (Indian bison) in Pendhari village in Nagpur district of Maharashtra on Wednesday, police said.
The incident occurred around 1:30 pm when Reshma Vikesh Dhurve and Nisha Keshav Ivanati (16) were working on a farm.
Dhurve was critically injured and died on the spot, while Ivanati sustained serious injuries while trying to save her, police said, adding that villagers informed forest officials about the incident.
The injured girl was admitted to the government hospital in Nagpur.
