Hyderabad, February 28 A female police constable is alleged to have committed suicide in the Vikarabad district of Telangana, according to police on Saturday.
The 26-year-old woman reportedly hanged herself at her home in Vikarabad during the night between Friday and Saturday.
In a note, she stated that there was no reason for her suicide, although she expressed grief over losing her father some time ago.
The specific reason for her extreme act could not be immediately ascertained, and an analysis of her mobile phone may provide further clues, police added.
