March 18, New Delhi – India will renew their rivalry with Pakistan after both teams were drawn in Group D of the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2026, following the draw in Amsterdam.
England and Wales complete the group.
A total of 16 teams were split into four groups of four in the men's draw. India qualified for the tournament by winning the Asia Cup last year.
India and Pakistan have faced each other five times in World Cup history, with India winning two of those encounters.
Meanwhile, the Indian women's team has been drawn with China, England, and South Africa in Group D of the World Cup.
Both the men's and women's World Cups will be co-hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands and will run from August 15 to 30.
