The Poonch District Administration, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority and the Health Department, celebrated World Health Day with great enthusiasm today, under the theme "Together for Health: Stand for Science."
Two programs were organized at the Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital and the ANMT School in Poonch to mark the occasion. The events featured active participation from health officials, legal authorities, students, and members of the public.
Speakers emphasized the critical role of scientific evidence and collaborative efforts in protecting public health. They highlighted that evidence-based practices and coordinated action among institutions are essential to effectively address modern health challenges.
Officials from the Health Department also raised awareness about the significance of World Health Day and stressed the importance of maintaining good health through informed choices and preventive care.
The programs concluded with participants taking a collective pledge to uphold scientific approaches in healthcare and to work together towards building a healthier society.
