JAMMU, MARCH 28: Minister Javed Ahmad Rana informed the Assembly that the WSS Magam Town project, under AMRUT 2.0, is underway to strengthen potable water supply in Magam and surrounding areas.

The ₹4.66 crore project includes upgrading the intake headworks and extending the water intake point by 500 metres, improving water discharge during periods of low flow. ₹2.17 crore has been allocated, with ₹0.77 crore spent so far.

Additionally, the Kanihama village will receive water under the Mazhama Water Supply Scheme (JJM) from the Sukhnag Nallah, reducing reliance on the Ferozpora Nallah and enhancing overall service.
