March 27, New Delhi – Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, is in Cameroon, where he is participating in the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization.

During his initial engagement, the Union Minister emphasized that discussions on WTO reform should follow a transparent, inclusive, and member-driven approach, ensuring that development remains central. He also highlighted the importance of preserving the organization's core principles, including non-discrimination, consensus-based decision-making, Special and Differential Treatment, Most Favoured Nation status, and overall equity among members.
