Varanasi (UP), April 4 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the 'Kashi Vishwanath' and 'Kal Bhairav' temples here on Saturday morning.
After performing the rituals, the chief minister interacted with nearby shopkeepers and children, inquiring about their well-being and blessing the youngsters for a bright future.
Adityanath, who arrived in Kashi on Friday for a two-day visit, performed Shodashopachar pujan and abhishek at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, praying for the welfare of all, an official statement said.
He also visited Baba Kal Bhairav on Saturday morning, offered prayers and performed aarti.
On his departure, devotees present at the temple greeted him with chants of 'Har Har Mahadev', the statement said.
Cabinet Ministers Rakesh Sachan and Anil Rajbhar, Ministers of State (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal and Sandeep Singh, along with MLAs Neelkanth Tiwari, Sushil Singh and Avadhesh Singh, accompanied the chief minister during the visit, the statement said.
