
The Kishtwar District Police is planning to organize the Martyr Memorial Cricket Tournament – 2026 as part of the Civic Action Programme in Paddar-Atholi.
The tournament aims to promote sportsmanship, encourage youth participation, and honor the sacrifices of the martyrs. Participation in the tournament will be free of charge, although only 16 teams will be allowed to compete.
According to police officials, the winning team will receive a cash prize of ₹50,000, while the runner-up will receive ₹25,000.
The District Police has invited cricket teams from across the Kishtwar district to participate in the event. Interested teams must register in advance by contacting the organizers at 9622057226, 9906076000, or 9858299319. Team selection will be based on a first-come, first-served basis until all 16 slots are filled.
Officials stated that only players from the Kishtwar district will be eligible to participate in the tournament. Participants will be required to provide valid Aadhaar cards and domicile certificates during registration to confirm their eligibility.
This initiative is part of the police's broader efforts to engage local youth through sports and constructive activities under the Civic Action Programme.
