March 13, New Delhi — Volodymyr Zelensky met Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Friday for talks aimed at increasing pressure on Russia.
The discussions come as Kyiv's allies express concern that a temporary easing of sanctions on Russian oil by the United States could boost Moscow's revenues.
According to the French presidency, the talks are expected to focus on tightening restrictions on Russia's so-called "shadow fleet" of tankers used to transport oil in violation of Western sanctions.
Meanwhile, several European leaders have criticised Washington's move to allow the sale of Russian oil already at sea.
